SELF IMPROVEMENT ~ UNLOCK YOUR POWER

When we look at a painting – you will I am sure agree, that we can't actually appreciate it, if the painting is just an inch away from our face. But if we step back a little further, we have a clearer vision of the whole art work. You may like what you see , or you may not.

We reach a point in our life when we are ready for change and open to information that will help us unlock our self improvement power and to start to see ourselves. Self improvement can lead to a real sense of happiness.

Until then, something can be right under our nose but we don’t really see it. The only time we think of unlocking our self improvement power is when everything starts to go wrong, or life seems to become more difficult for us, or perhaps you just start to question what life is all about.... We often learn our lessons when we experience pain. We finally see the warning signs and signals when things get rough and tough.

When do we realize that we need to change diets? When none of our jeans and shirts would fit us. When do we stop eating sweets and chocolates? When we feel the effects in our daily wellness or have to get an emergency dental appointment.
When do we realize that we need to stop smoking? When our coughing hurts or somebody close is under the surgeon.
When do we pray and ask for help? When we realize that we’re going to die tomorrow.
When do we decide to look at trying to get more money, or a better job? When we can't pay the bills.

The only time most of us ever learn about unlocking our self improvement power is when the whole world is crashing and falling apart. We think and feel this way because it is not easy to change. But change becomes more painful when we ignore it.

Change will happen, like it or hate it. At one point or another, we are all going to experience different turning points in our life – and we are all going to eventually unlock our self improvement power, not because the world says so, not because our friends and family are nagging us, but because we realize it's for our own good.

Happy people don’t just accept change, they embrace it.

Unlocking your self improvement power means unlocking yourself from the cage of thought that constantly tells you “its just the way I am”. Over the years, that is what you programme yourself to believe.

Self improvement is about looking at things in from a different point of view. It is also about taking small steps to change, concentrating on an area at a time. thinking about all of those things that you are unhappy about and then making the decision to change. It is about embarking on a journey of self awareness and self worth. And understanding what it is you want and why and then plotting a course to achieve that.

Three sessions in a week at the gym would result in a healthier life. Reading, listening to or viewing self development resources instead of watching the TV will shape up a more profound knowledge. Going out with friends and peers will help you take a step back from work and unwind.

And just when you are enjoying the whole process of unlocking your self improvement power, you’ll realize that you’re beginning to feel happier.
